Switzer Foundation has awarded $5,000 to Field Notes to create a special 6-part series on environmental leaders in New England. French Foundation has contributed $5,000 to Field Notes to create a special 8-part series on important wildlife issues in New England.
Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities has provided a $5,000 media production grant to support a 12-part series on Environmental chage and human society: Massachusetts as a model (12 parts). The Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities uses history, literature, philosophy, and the other humanities disciplines to enhance and improve civic life throughout the Commonwealth.
Western Massachusetts Electric Company (WMECO) and Connecticut Light & Power, part of the Northeast Utilities System, have given a $15,000 grant for Field Notes to support three separate series: (1) Carbon cycling and climate change (6 parts); (2) Energy in the environment (6 parts); and (3) Environmental change & human society: Massachusetts as a model (12 parts). WMECO is dedicated to the vitality of the communities it serves, by partnering with local organizations engaged in economic and community development, workforce development and education, and environmental leadership and stewardship.
Xeric Foundation has given Field Notes a $1,000 challenge grant to fund an 8-part series on important wildlife issues in Massachusetts and New England. The Xeric Foundation offers financial assistance to committeed, self-publishing comic book creators and qualified charitable and nonprofit organizations.
